Any time you make a purchase, whether it is online,
or with a regular brick and mortar retailer, you should
always be diligent with your record keeping and receipts.
Make sure that after your purchase arrives, that you
keep your receipts, and read any information the retailer
may have included about return information. Keep this
information for as long as the warranty or return is
valid. Many places will not accept a return without
this information, and with due cause. They will not
know if you have bought this from another store, and
trying to return it to them. Even though it may be in
good faith, the retailer will not know.
When your credit card bill arrives in the mail, make
sure you double check your bill to assure that the right
amount was charged, and also that you had not been double
billed. When the next months bill comes, be sure that
you had not been billed again. If so, most Companies
will have the phone number and name of Company on your
credit card statement.
If you return your product, and ask for a credit, be
aware of the return policies, and make sure your credit
is issued. Many places will not refund shipping charges,
and some places may charge a 'handling fee' for the
return, so you may only get a percent of your refund.
